About the event

Author and historian Bill Bleyer will be joining us at the historic Nathaniel Rogers House to provide some insight on what was going on here on Long Island during the Civil War. The discussion will cover everything from the “Copperhead” pacifism that followed the outbreak of the war, Lincoln’s only visit to Long Island and the involvement of locals in the fighting. Join us for this insightful look back on one of the biggest turning points in American History.
